Nilax Engineering Equipments and Machines makes stainless steel equipment and furniture for environments where the finish, the cleanability and the paperwork all get inspected.
Most of our work arrives as a drawing or a problem rather than a part number. A validation engineer needs a pass box for an opening that is not a standard size; a kitchen has a corner that no catalogue sink fits; a warehouse needs a pallet that will survive being washed every week.
We cut, form, weld, grind and assemble in Hadapsar, which means the schedule is ours to hold rather than a subcontractor’s. It also means when something is wrong we can put it right without a chain of phone calls.
The equipment goes into pharmaceutical and biotech plants, hospitals, food processing units and institutional kitchens — across India and, packed for freight, to export customers.

Four things we hold ourselves to
None of these are unusual. They are simply the things that go wrong when a fabricator is not paying attention.

Built to your drawing
Most of what leaves the works is made to a customer drawing or a site measurement, not picked from a catalogue. Send a GA drawing or a sketch with dimensions and we will quote against it.

Finishes that survive validation
SS 304 and SS 316L as the application demands, with mirror, matt or bead-blasted finishes. Welds ground flush and passivated so there is nowhere for residue to sit.

Documentation with the equipment
Material test certificates, weld maps, and IQ/OQ documents supplied where the installation is being qualified. Auditors ask for paperwork, not promises.

In-house fabrication
Cutting, forming, welding, grinding and assembly under one roof in Hadapsar. Nothing critical is subcontracted, so the schedule is ours to hold.
How an order runs

Requirement
Share a drawing, a sketch or the site constraint. For cleanroom work, tell us the classification and the room it has to fit.

Drawing and quotation
We return a GA drawing with the bill of material, grade, finish and price. Nothing is fabricated before you sign it off.
- 03
Fabrication
Cut, formed, welded and finished at the works. Stage photographs on request for equipment being made against a project schedule.
- 04
Despatch and installation
Packed for transport, delivered and installed where the scope includes it, with documentation handed over on site.
Asked before most orders
Do you make to standard sizes or to our drawing?
To your drawing, in most cases. The sizes shown against products on this site are the ones we build most often, not a limit. Send a GA drawing or a dimensioned sketch and we will quote the actual requirement.
Which stainless steel grades do you work in?
SS 304 for general fabrication, SS 316L where the process demands better corrosion resistance — typically product-contact parts and anything exposed to chlorides or aggressive cleaning agents. We will tell you if we think you are specifying more than the application needs.
Can you supply documentation for validation?
Yes. Material test certificates, weld maps and dimensional reports are supplied where asked for, and we can provide IQ/OQ protocol support for equipment going into a qualified area.
What are typical lead times?
Two to four weeks for standard furniture and trolleys, four to eight for equipment such as laminar air flow units, dispensing booths and biosafety cabinets. Project quantities are scheduled against your site programme.
Do you export?
Yes. Equipment is packed for sea or air freight with the documentation required at the destination. Tell us the port and we will quote accordingly.
Do you install and service what you supply?
Installation is included where the scope calls for it, particularly for air handling equipment that needs commissioning and validation. We also service and refurbish units we have supplied.
